Are you from Philly or something? I just can’t root for the Eagles, but that’s just me.I dislike the Bills, Bungles, and Chiefs equally. I hope whoever of them that gets to the Super Bowl gets crushed by the Eagles.
Their success is at least a little easier to swallow now that they aren’t filled with clowns like Burfict/Pac-Man/TJ. It’s too bad Burrow plays there because I like him.F the Bengals. I'd rather the NFL play every future championship game at Beaver Stadium than see this franchise have any success

College football does it so…I’m willing to let the Bungals win to help the greater good.
That’s fair, I respect it!My brother in law is a die hard eagles fan so I root for them if they aren’t playing the Steelers.
I don’t like the Bungles because they are the Bungles. Bills fans are annoying and their owner is a Nitter. I guess I don’t really dislike the Chiefs as much.
I’m not sure if there’s anything I’d point to for college football and say, “they do it right.” Just my opinion, though.College football does it so…

There is no way neutral site games will eliminate bad officiating. NFL officiating (along with all the other sports) is horrible. How can it be that this is a side job for these guys? This is a multi-billion dollar sport and they employ guys that work a few hours Saturday and games on Sunday? The penalty calls are so inconsistent from crew to crew. Pay these guys more money and make this a full time job. Get a working agreement with the USFL and XFL and have them work those gamesI dunno. If neutral sites would eliminate homer calls like the Bills were given on the obvious Chase TD catch, maybe it’ll be for the best to go to that.
I am pretty sure that this is a side job for many of them. They receive a good pay rate. It's only a side job if they make it that
They could get 109K . . .F the Bengals. I'd rather the NFL play every future championship game at Beaver Stadium than see this franchise have any success

I don’t even like the Bengals (nor the Bills particularly) so had no dog in the hunt but it was irritating. The Bengals made a great throw, great catch in great coverage in difficult conditions. Outstanding stuff, the kind of play that makes it the greatest game in the world. Then, because a Cincy TD there would have meant another playoff game essentially being over at halftime like the one last night, the league holds it up interminably to desperately look for any kind of tiny, tiny technicality to find the feeblest excuse to overturn it … in this situation, that the ball moved slightly in Chase’s arms as he was starting to get up and the teams were leaving the field for the extra point. But then you might see an entirely different call in the exact situation the next time. All this crap goes back to the dam tuck rule fiasco and it’s gone downhill since. There is no way neutral site games will eliminate bad officiating. This whole "neutral site" thing has me pi$$ed. The teams that get the home game deserve it, but so does the city. How much revenue does the city generate by hosting a playoff game? This will then only go to 6-8 sites. The greed and arrogance of this league continues to amaze me. What will they do give 20,000 tickets to each team and then the rest to their corporate sponsors? The fans are the ones that drive this league. What happens when less and less people watch the games? Less money to the advertisers.
The Super Bowl should be the only game played at a neutral site, which should.
I saw it as not a catch. But I understand your point that they could call the same play differently the very next week.I don’t even like the Bengals (nor the Bills particularly) so had no dog in the hunt but it was irritating. It's flat stupid. There is no way neutral site games will eliminate bad officiating. NFL officiating (along with all the other sports) is horrible. The sellouts are guaranteed. There is no way it doesn't sell out. I have a bigger issue with the cities losing out on revenue generated and that revenue keeps going to the same cities. It's flat stupid.
Teams play the whole season to get HF advantage through to the SB. It's part of the game.
It also is something for the fans. Say the Steelers get HF and make it to the championship game at home vs having to play at a neutral site, the vast majority of fans who would go to game at Pittsburgh would not be able to go to say Jacksonville.
And, it would take the game environment from a frenzied home field crowd to a bunch of tourists.
I would have doubts they would even sell it out ...
2 names that I googled last night says they are also attorneys. For some maybe that is all they do, but my point is they should be employed full time and, work other games and watch film together in classrooms all season. The average salary appears to be over $200k. That's a nice sidejob.
IDK ... conference championship game? The sellouts are guaranteed. There is no way it doesn't sell out. I have a bigger issue with the cities losing out on revenue generated and that revenue keeps going to the same cities.
No, that would suck, it would mean northern cities never get the games and all of the games have warm weather or domes, no more snow or bad weather games, and I like when the weather messes it up for one team or another, I never care about the "best team" winning or having their game plan messed up by ice or snow. I like when that happens. .I could see and even get behind the neutral site championship games. Might take me a while but I could warm up to it.
As I lifelong Steelers fan, I never hated or even cared one way or the other about the Eagles, as it stands now, I'm hoping for an Eagles vs Bengals Super Bowl. Are you from Philly or something? I just can’t root for the Eagles, but that’s just me.
But who wants these tickets? Let's say Bills vs Chiefs in Atlanta? Who's going? Bills and Chiefs fans on one weeks' notice? Local Atlanta people? I wouldn't go to a game between teams that aren't my team unless maybe the tickets where cheap, even then, I don't care that much. Please no. Home field in the NFL is a positive thing and gives the game some variety.
But, I'd guess that the decision has already been made. They likely know it means more money as cities can bid on those games. Redicilous.
Jalen Hurts is playing at another level this year. He’s in that top echelon and got there in a hurry. I can remember all of the doubters when Pederson started playing him over Wentz. Looks pretty good now.
Amazing how quickly that franchise turned it around. I can remember how bad they looked a few years ago with a bad line, terrible clubhouse cancer in QB, no running game to speak of, aging defense, etc… They were worse off that the Steelers ever were over the last several seasons. Which is why Tomlins seat has to start getting pretty warm if they don’t make a big improvement next year and make the playoffs. But it would probably take much more for his seat to get even a little bit warm given ownership seems to value consistency over all else.

I agree, I've been to non-Steelers NFL games, but only because I lived nearby at the time. I lived in Cleveland for a year in the 80s and went to a Browns MNF Game, and I live in Maryland now and have friends who are Ravens season ticket holders, so I've been to 2-3 Ravens games not including the Steelers. But no, I can't imagine traveling to another city, paying big money for travel and hotel and tickets, to watch to random teams. But who knows, maybe there's a market for it?I remember my dad and his friends (all Steeler fans, to my knowledge) going to a Chiefs/Bills AFC Championship back in the 90's--in Buffalo. I'm still trying to figure out why they did that. You couldn't pay me enough to watch two NFL teams not named the Steelers play in person. I'll check in periodically on tv, but that's about it.
Are you/your dad from Monongahela/Ringgold? Maybe they wanted to see their old pal Joe Montana? Or are from Fort Cherry and have a connection to Schottenheimer?I remember my dad and his friends (all Steeler fans, to my knowledge) going to a Chiefs/Bills AFC Championship back in the 90's--in Buffalo. Jim Kelly was from near Pittsburgh too.Are you/your dad from Monongahela/Ringgold? Maybe they wanted to see their old pal Joe Montana? Or are from Fort Cherry and have a connection to Schottenheimer?
