Pens win.

How about a potential rule change when there's 2 mins or less on the clock.
It's 4-2 with under 2 mins to go in the game.
With 30 secs to go a player on the losing team decides to ruff up the goalie or another key opposing player and gets a 2 min penalty. So what his team lost the game, he serves 30 secs, and heads for the dressing room.
But the goalie on the winning team is injured and cant continue in the series.
Why wouldn't a rule be in place in playoff hockey for that penalty to carryover to the next game.
Otherwise teams could target key players at the end of playoff games to keep them off the ice for the remainder of the series.
I could see a team like the Flyers putting that in their playbook!
Just thinking about that after Murray was ruffed up last night at the end of the game!

The knee to Murray's head was blatant and SHOULD result in some kind of disciplinary action. I mean, they are willing to dole out suspensions for late hits. A knee to the head of an unprotected goalie AFTER the play is over is at least as bad, IMO. The intent to injure is very high on that play.

Captain clutch - the NHL's playoff points leader since 2004–05 lockout – comes through yet again with his second consecutive game-winning goal. Is there anything he can't do?

The NHL didn't even give Callahan a hearing or fine for the hit on Letang in the first game. I doubt they think twice about the hit to Murray's head. Face it, the NHL's disciplinary dept. has "swallowed their whistle" for the rest of the playoffs. At least the Lightning aren't a thug team like the Flyers or like the caps tried to be. This will probably change if the Pens get to the finals. Neither of teams remaining in the west can keep up with the Pens speed and will need to resort to "physical play" to slow them down.

Yes!
My point was that some teams and players in a playoff series with like 30 secs to go might attempt to injure a key player on the opposing team because there's no impact on them or their team. The 2 min penalty goes away in 30 sec when the game ends. They know how to deliver hits that do damage but keep them clear from a suspension.
Within 2 mins in a playoff series the penalties should carryover to the next game.
