*Pitt Transfer Portal Thread*

Holstein is back...that needs to be attractive to WRs who are entering the portal. If I am a 4 OR 5 STAR sophomore who is buried on a power 5 team, I am looking at PITT.

Add Elliot Donald, Nate Yarnell, Deajon Reynolds, Lamar Seymore, Jaremiah Anglin, Noah Bigalow to the portal....

Bass has been way more hype than substance.

He mostly has, yeah. But I do think he's flashed a big and in normal times would have redshirted... but it sounds like we paid him too much out of high school to have justified redshirting him.

I'd love to have him back, but I'm definitely not getting shaken down to bring back the 4th best linebacker (so far anyway) on next year's team.

Portal officially opens for non-graduates today.

I'll look for G5 players of former top recruits looking for a new start.

Guys of potential interest:
WR
Chrison McCray (WR, Kent State): thought he played well against us
Tony Stellato (WR, Clemson)
Noah Jennings (WR, Charleston Southern): visiting
David Palentis (WR, Yale): local kid
Jalen Moss (WR, Fresno State)
Jalil Farooq (WR, Oklahoma)
Andrel Anthony (WR, Oklahoma)

RB
Don Chaney Jr (RB, Louisville): power back
Quinten Joyner (RB, USC)
Malik Sherrod (RB, Fresno State): can run and catch

DL
Enai White (DE, A&M): Imhotep kid
Da'Shawn Womack (DE, LSU): Baltimore kid who visited us in HS
Corey Walker (DE, Western Michigan)

OL
Miles McVay (OT, Bama): Holstein's recruiting class
Kam Dewberry (OG, A&M): seven starts over '22-'23. Reserve lineman this year.
Aki Ogunbiyi (OC, A&M): another kid who started some games under old staff before a reserve role this year
Ty’Kieast Crawford (OG, Arkansas)
Naeer Jackson (OL, FIU)
Derek Simmons (OT, Western Carolina)
Gunnar Hansen (OT, Vanderbilt)
Alex Wollschlaeger (OT, BGSU): all-MAC OT, long line for this one

QB
Brady Drogosh (QB, Cincinnati): believe we tried to flip him late after Minchey flipped, need a depth guy after Yarnell left
Anthony Colandrea (QB, UVA)

TE
Jaden Pratt (TE, A&M): young kid, Bronkowski recruits TX
Ty Washington (TE, Arkansas)

Man, it sucks to be a Duke fan. Any time they taste success...

Leonard... gone
Elko... gone
Murphy... done

Seems like GT has been quite the stepping stone lately, also.
In today’s college football, isn’t that or won’t that be the case for just about every school save the handful of elites at the top of the pyramid?

I guess. But, like, Kansas - a pretty comparable football situation with Duke, I assume - has held onto Leipold and Jalon Daniels for a while now.

I saw Drogosh play a couple of times in H.S. He's far more athlete than he is QB. So much so Satterfield moved him to LB his freshman year at Cinci. He doesn't have a college arm.
