Seemed like a lot of time left to stop fouling down 7, but I guess you have NET to worry about, lol.
Really fun team. Played hard to the end against a great team on a night our leader and top player didn't have his best stuff. Heartbreaking, for sure. I'm glad we get to watch them again even if it's not in the tourney we wanted.
Proud of our guys. Hard to win without Hinson. Tough bunch of kids
Regardless, I'm damn proud of this team. They have made so much progress and it was so much fun to watch them. Let's hope they get in, I'm confident they will, they still deserve it. H2P

What did we get from our 4's and 5's total? Pretty sure Bacot easily beat them all.
The crazy part is we actually could have if we just pocketed some damn layups.
Davis and Bacot made the plays champions make and they shot 19 FTs to 6 for Pitt.

Pitt gave a #1 seed all they could handle , this is a tournament team .
Hats off to UNC's defense on Hinson. Despite the Tarheels taking him out of the mix Pitt played them down to the wire. Bub was great and so was Lowe. Diaz Graham had a great first half....This is an easy Pitt team to like.

You can add Austin and still not match Bacot. Shame on Capel if he doesn't address that again this off season.
Feels like all the talk after the Wake game was about Wake. Now it's all Carolina. These peckerheads contradict themselves so much. If this was such a great win for them then you'd think you would acknowledge the opposition being tournament caliber (aside from the obligatory Jay Bilas "yes" comment).
In fairness 12 of those 19 were Blake trying to make something happen despite UNC putting the clamps on him. They really did a great job of taking away his time and space
They have a role but it should be behind a legit big man. The problem is how much we have to rely on them.

In case you weren't paying attention the last 18 games (or so) and the first half, Bub and Lowe are playing so well, if Pitt would have avoided that 6 minutes of forced Hinson and passes to Fede they would have won.

They haven’t mentioned Pitt but what’s to say? Lunardi and even Palm said Pitt had to win.
I think they knew they had to get him going to beat this team. A bigger punch was coming

Yes, Pitt had to win this game to be in. And they didn't and won't be.
We already know the system is pathetically flawed. Horrendously flawed.
When it's this bad, we all need to rant every once in a while.
Sometimes you just have to give a tip of the cap to your opponent. UNC is clearly the team that has more talent, despite that Pitt gave them a game to the end. They did a great job of taking Blake out of the game with suffocating defensive coverage. Our starting guards were terrific
