Not a good final 2 minutes for Pitt. Who the hell is Berry, and why is he having a career game?
He's one of those cat quick quards Robinson has a nightmare against. On both ends of the court
Appears Carolina wants to keep the ball away from JRob....tells you what Williams thinks about JRob's ability to control the game...
Seems like many more Pitt fans yesterday. Kinda strange. I'd estimate 3500 UNC fans, 500 Pitt fans
Agree. I'd be very angry at those last 2 minutes if I'm Dixon, but good god we're down 4! We should easily still be winning, but this in no way looks like we're about to get blown out. We really need to improve defensively though.
Robinson and Young had easy shots early in the game that would have given us about 8 more points. We were getting almost everything we wanted out of our offense. Every shot was a good shot. Carolina made some tough threes,
What happened at the end? The flow on offense disappeared we were not getting anything. Did we change, just trying to merely go into the half with a lead?
Officiating has not been too bad, but we have the dreaded Sean Hull today.
Yeah...though with Carolina we probably just have to out score them or hope they just go I've cold. They are not a team we really have the ability to slow down.
No excuse to implode like that the last 3 minutes. 35-29 lead and we gave them a 10-0 run to close out the half. Ridiculous. Bad JRob thus far.

James has got to do better at the end of the half, but a lot of standing around by the rest of the Pitt team. I thought Pitt certainly looked like they belonged on this stage, but if we are all honest here, UNC is just better, a lot better, at almost every position on the court. You can overcome that with toughness and coaching, which Pitt has done to more talented teams in the past, but Pitt can play exceptionally well and still lose to UNC.
If Pitt plays like that in the NCAA tournament they might very easily win 2 games if the match ups are right.

You really think his whole career he has been the shining light and the rest of the roster has let him down. Meanwhile he is the only constant......
It's not an excuse..it's reality... UNC is an extremely athletic team- who when they actually play pressure defense..will disrupt EVERYBODY.
It's how they thumped a REALLY good Miami team by 30+.
UNC's problem is concentration and effort consistency...that's it.

Agree. But like I said, we're probably still leading if Cam doesn't chuck up that insanely horrendous shot. What would ever convince anyone that was a good idea? To me, that was easily the most frustrating thing about that collapse.
Point is...we need better ball help and movement...because he's being VERY effectively disrupted from initating for us.
Not everything needs to be binary judgement of an entire career, eeyore.
