Tv Pitt/uva

I’m going to Buffalo Wild Wings! My local one is going to carry the game.

You can probably watch it on your iPad or phone if you drive outside of the Pittsburgh area—but it would likely be cheaper and more convenient to attend the game in person.

More tech savvy people than me would have to weigh in but there are ways around this too. VPN maybe? I think there are a few free ones.

If you have the ACC network and live in Pittsburgh. Can I watch it on TV?

I can’t believe the ACC network would black it out locally

I did a Google search on that about an hour ago and did not find anything related to an ACCN local blackout.

Some people are calling it a blackout in Pittsburgh because Comcast and the local over the air channels aren't carrying the game. But that is not the same.

i don't think there are any blackouts of the network programming. If your carrier has ACCN, you should be fine.

It amazes me that people who are big enough fans to sign up for and post on a fan message board are this uninformed when it comes to TV coverage. People still ask why Pitt cant set it's own game times. And soon we will be barraged with "why cant WTAE or ATTSN pick up the UVa game."

In fairness to those who are "uniformed" about coverage with the ACC Network, information has been really sparse. The occasional article about it provided little real information. Show me where it talks about issues like local blackouts, coverage by local channels, etc.
I live in Raleigh, and we just found out about ten days ago that Spectrum here would carry it, but there was no info on the Spectrum site about it (no announcement, no info on what tier it would be, etc) nothing from local news sources other than they picked it up. I had to call Spectrum to get any details.

I believe ACCN is scheduled to air a replay the following day. If you are subject to the blackout and can’t make the game, just steer clear of this site Saturday and watch it the next day.

There aren't any articles talking about local blackouts because there aren't any. There aren't any articles about coverage by local channels because there isn't any. The game is on the ACC Network. You either get the ACC Network or you don't.

Stop turning over every rock looking for things that aren't there.

Game is available on ACCN. So, if you have DirecTV or Fios as your provider, you'll see it.

Otherwise, PS Vue, Hulu Live and YouTube TV are streaming options. Each offers free trials. Each cost roughly $40 a month once the trial expires.

apologies if this dead horse has been beaten already. I have Armstrong (does not carry ACCN). My plan was to access the game via Roku/ESPN stream. I did this successfully several times last season with obscure PITT football and hoops that weren't televised. Will I still be able to do this? I'm gonna test it out Thursday with GT v Clemson. I should note..that all of those games i was able to watch were on the ACC Network before it became a television channel.

Amen. Thank you. This should be the end of this thread.

HYPOTHETICAL: can WTAE pick up games from ACCN or is ESPN determined not to allow them that option?
No. They. Cannot. Not trying to be a jerk but the game is on ACCN nationally and exclusively. It’s the same concept as if the game was on ESPN, ESPN2, etc. Have you ever seen one of those national TV games offered to a local affiliate?

Besides, what would be in it for ACCN/ESPN to offer the game to a local affiliate?

There are no such things as "blackouts" in college football and there never has been, at least not in the last few decades. For college football, it couldn't be simpler. Games are televised by a network. You either get that network or you dont.
