USA Soccer thread spring/summer 2023

Harry Kane has only himself to blame for having no silverware. His loyalty to that craptastic owner is mind boggling.

Second bid for arguably the best striker in the world, fetching 80 million euros/68 million pounds is cheap! How on earth does a twat like Jack Grealish fetch $100 million, Declan Rice and possibly Caicedo as well. I'd take Harry Kane or Haaland over any of those 3 in millisecond.

Another interesting watch will be Wilfried Zaha. Always been a fan, but he is so loyal to Palace.
there was talk that Zaha would leave this summer, but that’s always the rumor.

Yeah, for me we see what a difference a world class #9 makes. So 100 million should, and will be the fee for Kane. Munich is still low balling. Of course Madrid has been sniffing around too. But if I’m Kane, I’d push for a move to a place like United because I’d want to stay in England and be the all time record holder for goals. Notice I didn’t say Chelsea…lol…but United could be a serious title contender or trophy winner with Kane. Chelsea looks to be a ways away.

0-0 at halftime. Morgan invisible. Sophia smith looks good and Thompson is explosive.

Morgan off to start 2nd half and Rodman in for her.

Is a friendly more interesting than a match for a made up trophy? Asking for SMF.

How’s Jamaica look?
Gold Cup been around for 3 decades, but made up lol. What a dork.

Jamaica looks solid, a little sloppy though. They're easily the better team. Antonio is a bull.

Lynn Willams sent a long great diagonal ball to smith who got into the final 3rd and passed it across to Rodman for the finish.

LOL. I love hockey. Been to Canada 20 times. The guys playing for Canada don't look like typical Canadians. Which is what I find hilarious about the the really lax eligibility rules for international soccer.

From what I can tell, all but 4 players on the roster were born in Canada. Two of those 4 moved to Canada at a young age

lol at this clown show. what a drastic drop off between the A squad and this B squad. Looks like when competition gets a lil better, the savior ferreira is invisible.

US very fortunate note to be called for the handball in the box

Wtf is Busio doing? He sucks. Get him out of there. (At risk of sounding reactionary like Pittpoker.). At minimum he’s just not playing well. Make a change BJ, and get cowell in there asap. And Vazquez hold up play is desperately needed.

this jalen neal is absolutely dreadful. should not see the national team for the foreseeable future

get Jesus Zardes out. Par for the course, the competition gets better and he becomes invisible

this is such a terrible canada team to.
Yep. They’re crap. One shot on goal all game and it was that PK. Against a back line that’s struggled.

BJ’s tactics were wrong. Glad he got it right with Cowell and Vazquez

garbage defense after they take the lead in general. i think canada has been comfortably the better team tonight. this game should in reality be over with a 2-1 canada win
I don’t really agree. Although canada played the game they wanted in the first half. We held 2/3’s of the possession but never really threatened in the run of play. Lots of corners and set pieces. Then in the 70th minute we dominated play and looked good in the final 1/3rd.

emotions talking.

You can see the promise Cowell has. He's very strong, just needs to continue to work on his touch.
