Davis to the transfer portal for his last season. Hopefully he goes somewhere he can be the lead back for a year. He is over-recruited here now, but this guy was a true Pitt man - loved the blue & gold, great teammate, gave his all, always ready when called upon. I know some were unhappy with his usage at times, but he doesn't call the plays or determine playing time. He gave it his all whenever called - even in short yardage situation :)

I don't see him being a lead back , maybe a decent backup.
Good team player but had his faults, including multiple fumbles .
One Davis for another, this team loves it's Davis' RB.

I agree, he can certainly be a lead back for a lot of teams. He could have almost been that here. I liked him as a role player, and he is great at that. He wasnt as talented as Dion Lewis or Billy West as far as diminutive rb go, but he was close

He’s one of my favorite players. He gives his all. I wish him best of luck next season, and in life.

And, he’s pretty good with the sound bites, too.

Best of luck to him. I’ll be honest, I was always one of the posters saying ”(X Running Back) needs to get more carries over him”, but that little guy could run it given the chance. He held his own at this level. I will always be thankful for his contributions the past four years!

Best of luck to a Pitt man. Hope he goes somewhere such as a Florida Atlantic or FIU, lower D1 where he can be the main guy his last year.

He's a great between-the-tackles runner, who unfortunately lacks the size to really excel with that style. Physically, he reminds me of a LaRod Stephens-Howling or Qadree Henderson, but he doesn't have the speed or shiftiness to operate in space. I'll never question his heart, and I was always surprised at his ability to make tough yards. I hope he goes out with a bang.

Good luck to him. One of my favorite current Panthers given he seemed to be a great teammate and was always giving his best effort. And had some great games as well.

Vince brought it every game. Was always there when needed.

One of my favorites: Send them back to the west coast baby!

Wishing Vincent health, wealth and happiness. A good Pitt man and an all around good person, his parents should be proud.

A great player and I think this is a great move for him. He would be the lead back in 75% of the programs out there. Or at least get more carries in a two back system. He might want to consider a top FBS program too. He could dominate and also still get NFL scouts attention.

Best wishes to a fine Pitt RB. Lots of fond memories of him playing in the blue and gold!
