I'm getting a little sick of them interrupting these political ads with some lousy Bama v Georgia football game.

My imagination or is reality that today’s kickers in BOTH college and Pro’s are kicking better than ever??? Both in distance and accuracy.

I watched games all weekend where college kids were kicking 55 yarders and making them with ease. Not to mention with plenty of room to spare. I can’t remember the game where a kid kicked a 58 yarder and it would of been good if it was 68.

In the pro’s. 50 plus yarders are almost automatic. Why are these kickers all of a sudden having much stronger legs and are are extremely accurate??

My guess there is a program or camps these kids are going to that have made a huge difference compared to the past kickers

The Jimmy Franklin coaching tree sure is a weak sapling: Pry, Joe Moorhead, Manny Diaz and, most notably, the former Nitter guy who "coaches" the Florida Gators defense.

McMurphy moved Pitt up one slot. Doubt Pitt makes it in though. Only five ranked teams lost. Georgia and Ole Miss aren't dropping out. Illinois might stay in too.

They will be a power in the ACC & prove to be a great addition. Pitt will have their hands full with them this year.

The Pitt football team is back after an off week and staring down a huge ACC opener in Chapel Hill. Before we get to that game, though, there's a lot to recap from another big weekend in Pitt sports, and that's what we're doing on the Monday edition of the Morning Pitt.

Former Panther wide receiver Mike Shanahan is the Offensive Coordinator for Indiana. He has the Hoosiers 5-0. Runs an offense similar to the one Pitt is running. Indiana is pretty darn good on offense although I am not crazy about their defense.

If Pitt should lose our head coach or OC down the road I would take a long look at Mike S.
