Narduzzi, Cignetti and their wagons

Chris used a phrase in his article earlier - that Narduzzi and Cignetti were "hitching their wagons" to Jurkovec.

Not to overanalyze a phrase... BUT... I viewed this move as Cignetti hitching HIS wagon to Jurkovec. Meaning, he's getting 'his guy' to run 'his system'... my question is how much do people think this move will affect the long term view/tenure of HCPN? 2 years in a row bringing in a hand selected QB and giving them the job on Day 0.

Personally I can't fault him for the Slovis misadventure because I was over the moon when he transferred here (much more excited than I am today - which could be described as "cautiously optimistic")

With the portal and Pitt's current national status in the pecking order this will of course be more typical moving forward but I wonder how much coaches (Narduzzi in this case) will be judged on their transfer decisions.

Obligatory musical reference

Last night, 10-year old says to me, "What city is Pitt's bowl game in?" which was just the perfect setup.
My eyes lit up, and I said "Alexa! Play a Marty Robbins song for us!" and away we went to West Texas, and Rose's Cantina.
My wife rolled her eyes and groaned, but laughed a little when I danced with the 2-year old and 7-year old.
"You're not going, are you?"
"Hell no, it's across the Rio Grande from one of the most dangerous cities on earth!"

But it's a good and respectable bowl, and I've marked off my work calendar for the afternoon of the 30th. And I'll listen to Marty Robbins' version, and The Dead's version, 100x in the next 3-ish weeks. Great way to break up the Christmas tunes.

"Wild as the west Texas winnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
