Even though Clemson was ready to play the medical people at FSU didn’t think it would be safe to play since a Clemson player tested positive yesterday. So when Pitt travels to Clemson next week we will face a hungry team that has been off since their loss to NDame Two weeks ago. It’s also their senior day and military day

The FSU doctor just saved them a whoopin’. I wonder if they would have made the same decision if they were 35 point favorites.

More than any other year, enjoy each game that is played because it’s quite possible that each week is the last.

We are in the beginning phases of exponential growth. When the US rate doubles within a 5-7 day period (guessing in next couple of weeks...I said by Dec 1 n a prior post), the public and media will act as if they didn’t realize this was inevitable and we will have a “Rudy Gobert/Tom Hanks March 11th” moment where college football/hoops will react with shock and stop playing.

Just telling you what’s about to happen. People hear exponential growth and don’t really understand it (or linear or cubic growth) until it happens.

More cases equal more death. Its pretty simple. 2K died each of the last 3 days. We may start seeing 3K/day.

Correct. Here’s my issue with the media. Full disclosure, I distrust the media almost as much as I do this Trump admin. It is so incredibly fear-driven (in an effort to improve ratings). It has the perfect opportunity to “shout from the mountaintops” about what is about to happen. It’s math. Explain to your audience so they understand and there isn’t this big degree of shock and disbelief when it happens. They won’t until it actually happens in order to draw more eyeballs because of the fear. And then they’ll act as if the math wasn’t happening the entire time. So frustrating. I can pretty much only read Wall St Journal or Bloomberg. The rest is sensationalist garbage. Especially CNN, Fox, MSNBC, Vox, Breitbart, OAN, etc. Never trust the extremes of anything. Too emotional to make sound decisions without political views getting in the way.

Especially during a medical/health event.
