Whenever a receiver and QB aren’t on the same page, you can bet the house it’s on the receiver. They’ve let him down all day.Graduate soon.

I don’t remember Blackledge saying that. It’s pretty obvious that the QB expected the receiver to break off his route.Blackledge was just giving excuses. That ball was tailing off towards the sideline. Weak throw. Not that we haven't seen this before.
Graduate soon.
As much as I get on him, most of those werent his fault.
if it wasn’t for tipped ball int’s (14pts), dropped balls and alligator arms, and the route discussed in this thread (7pts) it’s a 2 possession game right now.As much as I get on him, most of those werent his fault.

Totally disagree. The triple coverage play was simply due to the play being close to the line of scrimmage. If it’s not tipped, it’s a completion. And the 2nd was simply a great play by a good player. The first 2 were most certainly his fault. He threw into triple coverage for the first and the 2nd he floated a ball late in the middle of the field. The last 2 were not his fault.

We can disagree. It’s ok.What? He threw a wounded duck to the sideline. It was an easy play for the DB. Never mind that Wayne just stood there and watched it happen but at that point the only thing he could do was get in the way. Don't defend this guy... he's not that good.

I just went back and watched it. It was single coverage on a 3rd and 4. If the ball isn’t tipped, it’s a 5 yard completion for a first down. I just watched 5 times, slowed it down, etc. if you have a chance, watch the end zone camera’s replay. He threw it into triple coverage.

Now if someone wants to say he locked onto the receiver and that’s what led to the tip, I could buy that argument. Maybe.
in any event, it’s a silly debate for us to be having. Cheers.
Pickets a b- player. Problem is he is surrounded by d's. He also is pretty inconsistent. Reminds me a lot of mcsorley from psu. Games were he plays like a stud others where he isn't very good. But overall he is a above average college qb,he just can't carry a bad team very often.
Yeah. I was told to go watch the play again so I did. While scrolling through the first few drives, I saw one dropped pass after another. There had to be 5 drops. Our receivers really were sub par. As far as the deep ball int, upon watching it again, it wasn’t the best pass. It also wasn’t the worst. So while we can admittedly put that one on him, I still contend that the sometimes the other team makes plays and on this one they did.You already watched it again? Geez you’re a masochist.
Seriously I’d be curious to see it. The tip screwed that play but it looked like the receiver was blanketed.
Hey Mike, not sure how old you are...but after watching and suffering through QB’s like Tino...guys like Nate and Kenny are a pleasure.I see what your saying and I want to agree but I can't. I have a hard time calling a B- above average. To me that is average.
Pickett is a very good QB. Some of those interceptions weren’t his fault. Some bad drops, bad pass protection, and alligator arms cost us. And we have (usually) no running game and an OC that makes the team one-dimensional. Without Him, they would have hung 80.
Remember what this team looked like without him?
