Kenny 4 INT PICKETT...

Whenever a receiver and QB aren’t on the same page, you can bet the house it’s on the receiver. They’ve let him down all day.

Blackledge was just giving excuses. That ball was tailing off towards the sideline. Weak throw. Not that we haven't seen this before.

Play ANYONE else now. He is gone. This year was over when we lost to shitty BC and NC St teams so why are we not losing gracefully with a QB that will be with us next year.

I don’t remember Blackledge saying that. It’s pretty obvious that the QB expected the receiver to break off his route.

What? He threw a wounded duck to the sideline. It was an easy play for the DB. Never mind that Wayne just stood there and watched it happen but at that point the only thing he could do was get in the way. Don't defend this guy... he's not that good.

The first 2 were most certainly his fault. He threw into triple coverage for the first and the 2nd he floated a ball late in the middle of the field. The last 2 were not his fault.
Totally disagree. The triple coverage play was simply due to the play being close to the line of scrimmage. If it’s not tipped, it’s a completion. And the 2nd was simply a great play by a good player.

He needs to throw the ball out of bounds more. He forces it.

You need to go back and look at that play my friend. It would have been an interception even without it being tipped.

We can disagree. It’s ok.

but I’ve lived through plenty of bad Pitt QB’s. He’s not one of them.

Really? Without Pickett, this team is 0-10.

He's no Hall of Famer but he is a good college QB and our best offensive player by a mile.

This team has no chance of breaking .500 next season barring something crazy happening at QB in the off-season.

He threw it into triple coverage.
I just went back and watched it. It was single coverage on a 3rd and 4. If the ball isn’t tipped, it’s a 5 yard completion for a first down. I just watched 5 times, slowed it down, etc. if you have a chance, watch the end zone camera’s replay.

Now if someone wants to say he locked onto the receiver and that’s what led to the tip, I could buy that argument. Maybe.

in any event, it’s a silly debate for us to be having. Cheers.

You already watched it again? Geez you’re a masochist.

Seriously I’d be curious to see it. The tip screwed that play but it looked like the receiver was blanketed.

Pickets a b- player. Problem is he is surrounded by d's. He also is pretty inconsistent. Reminds me a lot of mcsorley from psu. Games were he plays like a stud others where he isn't very good. But overall he is a above average college qb,he just can't carry a bad team very often.

I see what your saying and I want to agree but I can't. I have a hard time calling a B- above average. To me that is average.

Yeah. I was told to go watch the play again so I did. While scrolling through the first few drives, I saw one dropped pass after another. There had to be 5 drops. Our receivers really were sub par. As far as the deep ball int, upon watching it again, it wasn’t the best pass. It also wasn’t the worst. So while we can admittedly put that one on him, I still contend that the sometimes the other team makes plays and on this one they did.
I wanted to watch the play where Pickett threw the ball down the seam and the receiver didn’t make an attempt to catch it, but I didn’t want to put myself through the misery. That was a helluva throw. I don’t remember at what point in the game that was and how many points it may have cost us.

Hey Mike, not sure how old you are...but after watching and suffering through QB’s like Tino...guys like Nate and Kenny are a pleasure.

Pickett is a very good QB. Some of those interceptions weren’t his fault. Some bad drops, bad pass protection, and alligator arms cost us. And we have (usually) no running game and an OC that makes the team one-dimensional. Without Him, they would have hung 80.

Remember what this team looked like without him?

41. I go back to Van Pelt when I was a kid. Tino got a raw deal here. 3 HCs 4 OCs is a recipe for disaster even if it was Marino back there. Not saying he was great, but that kid put it all on the line in very difficult situations.

Like I said, I give Kenny a B-. I don't consider that above average. YMMV.
