That was Chris Jones that got beat on the drive. Then he had a stupid turnover. Then missed an ill-advised 3 badly.
Love the tractor commercial. Man, ACC BB is just pure first class. You know from afar, you would have thought this conference would be the be all to end all for broadcasting college basketball. It sucks, It is like a 3rd world country in comparison with the Big East. I hate the ACC Conference for basketball.
I will say this, when this team loses, they do it in spectacular fashion. They either win or get smoked.
I didn't need the replay, you can tell how Jeter had to pull it back up to dunk.
Just one of those games.
Virginia is solid, steady, plays D on every play. Patiently waiting for the opponent to miss a switch, make an ill advised pass, fail to box out, etc. That's why their up big.

Look when your senior point guard has zero freaking points what do you expect to happen? Smith disappears again, I mean if he is not gonna set up for the 3 and shoot then why is he playing? Jones awful, plus no one wants to play defense.

4 years. More like 30 years. Pitt hasn't had a good shooting guard since Jason Matthews.
What the hell does Wanny have to do with anything? We are in a much better place football wise with Dave Wannstedt NOT along the sidelines.
The better question is what on this team, including the coach and assistants, is worth saving?
pitt was in the game at halftime, could have had the lead if someone would have hit a few. Louisville never in the game.
I still am baffled at that long-term extension they gave Dixon with that ridiculous buyout. WHY WHY WHY?? Dixon had reach his peak, he needs to go along with his useless assistants.

Agree. This team's problems all start with effort. Mainly the rebounds they fail to bring down most of the time are so easy middle school kids could do what Pitt can't.
If you could add the pulse rates of Bill Barton and Brian Regan together, would it be over 100?
OK. Your Nordy criticism of giving buddies too big of contracts on his way out is accurate. BUT....again, what does have Wanny have to do with this mess?
At least this administration won't put up with this much longer. I wish these guys would have came in 4 years ago, cause the wait would be over.
I don't question the players effort for the most part. I think Robinson, to name one player, gives his all almost every game. The problem is not effort, the problem is athletic ability and basketball skill. Robinson has limited athletic ability and when paired with an even more limited 2 guard such as Smith, it puts Pitt as a huge competitive disadvantage against the upper half of the ACC.
I don't have much hope this will change. It's been a consistent pattern that Dixon struggles to recruit quality 2 guards. Maybe Kithcart and Wilson will change the trend, but I remain cautiously pessimistic.
Lol. This announcer said a) Pitt fought and b) Pitt showed great effort. I don't know if they could have rolled over and played dead any better than they did today. What a stupid statement. They contested maybe 1 or 2 threes that UVA threw up all day. Jamie really needs to rip into the team after this one. Absolutely garbage effort.
