The way it is now with the portal, most teams have a fairly equal amount of talent. Generally a team like Pitt or a VT or a Wake, teams like that can finish anywhere from 1st to 15th. It comes down to the team gelling, coaching, and winning 50/50 games. College basketball has largely become like some youth rec league where you draft the kids and every team is generally the same but you still have teams that go 10-0 or 1-9. Gone are the days where teams will be rebuilding and have no talent for a few years.
#1 transfer class. Really going for the NIL. They are one of 20 or so teams with a realistic chance to win the National Championship. They are a Top 5 or 10 team in my opinion
I wonder if they could have kept Tshiebwe if NIL was a thing when he was at WVU? Admittedly, I am in the dark about the circumstances of his departure. Gotta give the Hoopies credit. They may be a small state, but all roads and dollars lead to Morgantown when it comes to passion for their program.
