That feels like a loss but I assume he's taking on a bigger role at Arkansas State?

Saw real progress with the development of our backers. Bright, Campbell, Dennis. Even guys like zeise who were converted wr.
As long as Partridge, Collins, and Beatty stay I am good. I was lukewarm at best on Harley. Should be able to upgrade with the right hire.

If Harley is named their defensive coordinator, that "might" be considered a promotion. If Harley is just another assistant there, Harley was told by Narduzzi he better look around.
In either case, my guess is he was told to look around.
The opportunity exists for an impact hire here.
Unless they view him as a candidate to groom to eventually replace Bates, this makes sense. I don’t know if Narduzzi shares your opinion of Harley or not. But even if he likes the job he’s done, Harley has been the LB coach for 6 seasons. Hopefully he is getting a DC job and moving his career along.
With Bates to help with the LBers there should be some continuity whoever they hire.

This is one guy I'd target. He's a tremendous coach, dependable, organized and has recruiting ties to all of the DMV hotbeds in the 410. Would be an upgrade with S/T if he was assigned that role.

Sounds good, but what is the draw to Pittsburgh? We aren’t outbidding Ohio St.
Don't just make him a position coach. Make him S/T and LB's or RC and LB's. Or make him Co-DC with Bates.
ACC LB's have to run sideline to sideline and cover RB's. Can't miss tackles. It's an important position in this defense.
Harley reminded me a lot of Hafley but he didn't prove to be anywhere near the recruiter. Overall, he was ok but I thought he'd be big-time

That would appear to be an upgrade. Also gives you an heir apparent to Bates.
I did find Santucci interesting. Good young coach from the area with ACC ties to keep an eye on. Plus another Italian for Narduzzi to bring in. lol
