Jaylen Warren - Yikes!

So a throwing session on an empty field with nobody covering them or tracking their routes teaches coverage identification, and precise route running under duress. I got it.

Did I mention leverage...whatever that means.
Another great example of the Dulac reporting. Kenny got blasted a couple of months ago for canceling off season throwing sessions with his WR’s. Dumb yinzers ran with the reporting along with stupid national media. But no one took a moment to consider that there were no WR’s to throw to at that time. But that didn’t stop good ole Gerry the Nit for reporting what he did.

All of these various reported stories, one after another, created an image of Kenny that became the virtual truth, even though all the stories were fabricated and squashed days later. But by then it’s too late. That’s todays media. Actually that’s probably always been the media. We just have ways now of learning what really happened…not what fake news Gerry put out there.

Let me know how he feels during the actual season
And 2025 when neither qb will be here
Hopefully Russ is better for this offense…but it’s a weird OP considering his old team paid 40 million dollars to get him out of their locker room.

I do think Arthur Smith will be good for this offense. His addition will be more impactful than Wilson’s. It will be better as it simply has to be better than Canadas. Smith appears to me to be average…but average is light years better than what we had.

You realize throwing sessions include tight ends and running backs, right?

Looks like Aditi has a slanted view.

We've been told that NFL teams don't do misinformation campaigns through their media lackeys'.

Looks like Aditi is a lackey, then again she’s also a Browns employee - so I guess we can apply the same logic we apply to reporters with Penn St ties.

Penn State doesn't play in the NFL, though. It's a bit different when a pro sports franchise does everything it can to paint themselves in a better light.

By the way, there is already a "will Najee Harris be a disruption since his option hasn't been picked up" article floating around.

No doubt written by some Auburn grad, at least that would be the dumb yinzer logic.

The point is the OP is being silly
The QB room included 3 people

And it’s a ridiculous claim a month later after
Why is the OP being silly? Not like he fabricated the story.
Wouldn't you expect a QB that's been around as long as Wilson to bring to the table some things KP didn't?

The original point of my post was that Warren and Heyward entertaining this idea in public like this has all to do with Kenny not having the support of the locker room. Watt, Heyward, and Minkah all publicly recruited Russ was an indictment on KP's ability to play the position. They were recruiting a guy who was known to be an oddball character in the Denver/Seattle locker room. Pickens took a shot at Kenny saying he wanted out of Pittsburgh during the season. The team's response to Mason during the season much different then it was ever with KP under center. Warren and Heyward publicly bashing Kenny last week is just more evidence of this.

Hope that basic reading comprehension lesson helped
I'm not blaming Kenny for anything. It's been well established that the Steelers reached for Kenny in the 1st round. It was well reported that Kenny at best was a 3rd round pick on most teams' boards. The point always has been that if Kenny had support of the locker room, Tomlin and Omar would not have went shopping. Tomlin is many things but he's a player's coach and probably caters to them too much. When he knows the locker room is lost, he's going to make changes.
But they didnt say Kenny
c'mon.. who do you think they're talking about?

Some might conclude their response says more about them and the teams mediocre and inconsistent play than Picket

All 3 QBs
And they are Just propping up the temp teammates
Heyward also called Kenny a leader like 4 months ago
You’re being silly

It's a QB league and we haven't had anything that resembled a QB since 7 retired.

The defense was one of the top ones in the NFL last year and would've been much better if they had a passing attack on offense.

Take the blue/gold glasses off for just once.

What do you think Heyward is going to publicly say 4 months ago when Kenny was QB1?

No one is being silly except for PITT fans.

Let me ask you a question - do you think Kenny had the locker room backing him?

Looks like Aditi has a slanted view.

Aditi really believes coaches are honest with her during the one on one press meetings. These coaches are tight vested. They only speak on things they want you to believe. Like many have said, she's very naïve.

So we are not to believe anything that rips on Wilson reported by reporters but everything reporters say about KP. Gotcha

It's pretty clear that he did not.

I have some contacts within UPMC South Side, and it really is true that the reviews on KP are not particularly favorable. I'm not saying that every little thing said about him is truth, but it's also not all hyperbole, either.

I've heard the same thing from someone who was on staff in 2022. Basically said, KP had a target on his back after his 1st training camp. Was it fair? - probably not. If he was drafted anywhere but the 1st round, things would probably be a lot different for KP.

Adidi is naive but Dulac isn’t? How sexest of you.
Who's talking about Dulac? I haven't mentioned him once.

I commented about Aditi because she thinks these coaches are revealing truth. These coaches are just telling reporters what they want them to know. Sometimes it's true, sometimes it's a stretch.. And, she really doesn't know football. The best example was how she described the playcalling situation in Denver. Listen, I think Russ is probably a douche but he ain't a dummy. Anyone that plays for Schottenheimer can regurgitate a play call.

Everything you cited in this thread is from a Dulac report. Every single thing. You should consider your source a bit wiser. Or at least take it with a grain of salt.

I've been thinking the same thing the entire thread. The OP is bashing Kenny, not Warren.

Warren said what he was supposed to say. He's not going to downplay his current QBs to prop up the guys that are gone. Common sense would help.

As I've said countless times before... you should be blaming Tomlin not Kenny. KP actually performed to the level of a 2nd half of the 1st round QB. The Steeler's org, fans, and more importantly media, expected Big Ben.
