Steelers/Colts

I don't have NFL+ Premium but it sure looks like they did on the one and only drive he rushed the ball. Did any of Najee's holes look like this?

Muth makes the block in this one.
Haha. I’m not going to debate you as it’s tough to compare still photos compared to the all 22 video for Najee. You may well be right. It’s just odd that one guy ran very well and one didn’t within the confines of the offense. None of those were passing downs as Souf said above, one had 9 guys in the box and the other I see 8. It’s all anecdotal because it’s just one game. But you sound like me defending Kenny.

I’ll say this again. I said it above. The run blocking and Najee both picked up last year when people really started hammering them. Sure hope it happens again.

Don't get me wrong, I think Najee was a terrible pick for the first round and the Steelers were right to not pick up his option. But the Najee video was just so clear that he had zero blocking in front of him and Patterson just had the benefit of getting the ball on the one decent drive after rushing for -3 yards on his first carry before that drive.

I think Najee is easily a top half RB, especially for how much wear and tear he gets behind that line and with his number of carries. You can probably count on two fingers the number of 21st century RBs that get 300+ carries their rookie year and stay healthy the following year. For a $4million cap hit he's a steal, for a 1st round pick he's not nearly enough.

Also, just like with the video, are we looking at the same pictures? Because those pictures clearly show 7, 8, & 7 in the box.

As noted because they expect Patterson as a receiver .

I’m going to repost the all 22 video of Harris’ runs again for your review. Then, I’m going to post Patterson’s. Pay attention to how the defense lines up, pay attention to how Patterson makes positive plays out of similarly blocked plays, and then stop digging on on this. It’s ok to say Patterson had a good day and Harris did not.

Here’s another thing…back to the Pickens dropped TD that you blamed on Fields. I don’t know if it’s because you’re digging in on your dislike for Fields, or your love for Pickens (probably both), but this video of the Pickens drop shows that you really have strong bias’ that impact every opinion you have. Can you be objective for once in your life?

I don’t know how to pull out the embedded video but it’s right here at the top of this article.

Pickens has a bit of Dwight Stone in him when he's not mimicking JuJu. Can make some big plays and some bad drops with the occasional bonehead play that really has no business happening to a pro.

Yeah I don’t know why that is. Some of the stuff he does is straight out of the Matrix films. But basic route running and routine catches are never a sure thing. I had hoped he would improve in that area this year, at least for the current QBs. What happened last year is in the past and he was only in year two. Time to show he’s elite now.

I think he's just better when he doesn't have time to think about things. Some athletes are just like that.

I didn’t blame fields - he threw it in a spot where it’s either another great Pickens catch or incompletion .
It was a tough catch in traffic with secondary coming at his head .
It wasn’t a “drop”.

This is the most insanely stupid thing ever posted

Not even possible if SMF hasn't posted it. Please enlighten me why Pickens is a stud when every WR that demands a trade suddenly is rumored to have interest from the Steelers as their #1 guy?
He lacks the ability to read your post and consider that you’re not comparing him to Dwight stone as a receiver in ability…but merely stating that he has a Dwight Stone trait.

I guess you didn’t read the article linked and every other article and stat house that documents such things that said it was a drop…and why did they? Because it was a catch that every receiver in the league is paid to catch when it hits them in both hands right in front of their face.

Because he is the best receiver on the team since he was drafted.

Hint - that every team with a receiver to trade wants Pickens in return isn’t supporting your contention of his ability and value

Dwight stone had 1 skill - being fast
He couldn’t catch
Pickens regularly makes highlight level catches and is literally the only receiving threat we have .

The fact that folks still slag JuJu who was an ultimate team player and also blocked like Hines Ward -
Shows how local sports talk radio only attracts the dumbest fans

I don’t need to read articles to know what I saw and what I said .
